During the spring and summer months our students and horses go to a variety of show and events...

Horse
Shows: Our main focus is jumpers - it's just so enjoyable, you can be colorful, it seems to be less stressful than the
other events, and anyone can compete regardless of rider age or the horses type. We do go to some horse trials each
year and a hunter pace or two. We do have a few horses who have been shown successfully in western pleasure and horsemanship.
The Willowbend horses are capable of doing walk classes to 3' hunter/jumpers and Elementary to Novice eventing - we are lucky
to have a great group of 4 legged friends.
We
attend the BEST show series (litteraly) at the PG Equestrian Center. They offer jumpers and local and MHSA rated hunters
both Saturdays and Sundays. The jumpers go fro 2' - 3'9" and do include an MHSA rated division at 3'3".
Our goal
at shows in to come home having learned something and having enjoyed a day with our horsie friends. We do go and put our best effort forward but It is not about the ribbons or what
color they are (thought we know you love to hang them on your wall for the memories). We strive to make showing with
us a low stress experience because then you and your horse will usually perform better.
